We were ALL young back then. I was a crew chief/door gunner (1967-1969) with C Btry 2 Bn 20th Arty 1st Cav, for most of my tour, and am privileged to be crew chief for this great Association now. I have been writing in the 1st Cav paper (Saber) since the May/June issue of 1994. We started with 2/20th people, but as research found the history of the ARA we wanted to expand to cover ALL the ARA units. We added F Btry 79th and then in spring of 1999 4/77th (the only other Bn. of ARA there ever was) asked to join our group.

The primary goal of the Blue Max Association is to document and preserve our proud history. Our secondary goal is to be able to reunite with old friends, to make new ones, and have fun doing it. We currently have a database of over 900 names with addresses of those that served and we have aircraft history with reports.
Click on Join Blue Max and see what the Blue Max Association has. By joining Blue Max ARA Association you will get a newsletter, certificate, copies of all data base information we have and a list of those that gave their life for their country in Nam (there are 49 from 2/20th, 26 from 4/77, and 9 from F 79) with information on each. Please read the information when you have the file open. If you have any old orders forward a copy to me. We use them to help find others that were with us.
