Book written about the ARA

This book was written by ARA pilot N.G. Brown and came out the end of October 2006. Mr Brown was one of my pilot and many of the photos of people in this book are of people I knew.

Message from Outskirts Press to NG Brown that we found out about March 30, 2007
Congratulations! Your book won an EVVY Award in your category.
3rd Place Non-Fiction/Experiences
This is quite an accomplishment. The EVVY Awards are notoriously competitive. In fact, in some cases, the judges are ruthless.
You should be very proud of your award and should reference it in upcoming promotional efforts. Keep your eyes on your mail box. Your award, judge’s comments, and marketing materials are on the way.
The winners will be announced in the April 1 issue of the Outskirts Press e-mail newsletter.
Congratulations again from all of us at Outskirts Press.
Sincerely,

BOOK REVIEWS by a few readers
GREAT BOOK! I couldn't put it down which was unusual as I have always had a hard time to read any book about Vietnam as they always took me where I didn't want to go. I was sure I would have the same problem reading this book. Wrong! I couldn't put the book down, I knew most everyone in the book as well as I had been most every where he had been that he wrote about. Some of the missions he was on I was involved with. I thought sure this would make me want to stop reading the book but I was wrong. Even though Mr Brown flew the cobra a lot, I still flew with him on many missions or was in the wing ship. one of the photos of a Cobra fly wing to a Huey I think was taken from my B Model Huey and I think Mr Brown was flying it at the time it was taken.
I would suguest anyone who like this type of book read to read get a copy and read it. It was very well done without a lot of blood stories although if you read between the lines it is there. Russ Warriner, crew chief who flew with Mr Brown
I just finished reading the book written by NG Brown about his tour with the ARA. I couldn't put the book down, I think I read it in 4 hours. I would recomend this book to anyone and espicialy any ARA vets. I hope Mr. Brown stops in at this web site and reads this, I would truly love to thank him for his service and to let him know that I truly enjoyed his book. Jim (ski) Duszynski , A/2/20 ARA 6/69 to 8/70
