Accident Summary:

 WO MATTHEWS WAS DEMONSTRATING A STRAIGHT-IN AUTOROTATION. THE AUTOROTATION WAS ENTERED IN A NORMAL MANNER WITH ALL INSTRUMENTS READING IN THE GREEN. WO MATTHEWS ELECTED TO DO A ZERO-GROUND SPEED AUTOROTATION AND THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH SUFFICIENT FORCE TO CAUSE THE MAIN ROTOR BLADES TO FLEX DOWN AND SEVER THE TAIL BOOM.\\
