Crew Members:
G SGT TENORIO SAM KIA
AC BAUMAN STEVEN R

War Story:
Sam Tenorio was a RTO for B Battery operations. He had taken the placer of the Crew Chief so that the crew chief could have a birthday cake at the battery area. The aircraft was shot down and after it hit it exploded into flames. One of the pilots was Steve R. Bauman (who I think is listed in the new VHPA as being in TX as an air line pilot) Not sure who the other pilot was. One pilot had wet gloves one and his hands were not burned but the other pilot as I understand it had burned hands. Also the back of both pilots necks got burned as they were taking the helmits off as it exploded into flames. Sgt Sam Tenorio was burned bad and did not survive. Date of his casualty was 11/28/67. This was a B or C Model huey. Russ Warriner Blue Max Association P.O. Box 576 North Berwick, Me. 03906-0576 Web page http://www.gwi.net/~bluemax/ e-mail: bluemax@gwi.net 11 November 1998
